The New York Giants didn’t just get some much-needed salary cap relief when veteran tight end Darren Waller retired. It also opened a spot on their 90-man roster which needs to be filled.
To that end, the Giants are bringing in four players for tryouts during this week’s mandatory minicamp.
CB Willie Herndon III
Herndon, nicknamed “Tre”, originally came into the NFL as an undrafted free agent out of Vanderbilt in 2018. He was signed by the Jacksonville Jaguars and played with them for the last six seasons. The 28-year-old became a starter for the Jags when the team traded Jalen Ramsey to the Los Angeles Rams in 2019.
