added just one offensive lineman in the NFL Draft, picking Pittsburgh tackle Adam Bisnowaty in the sixth round. But general manager Jerry Reese went to work immediately after the draft to stock up on offensive linemen in the undrafted free agent market.
The prize of the Giants' undrafted free agent haul is USC left tackle Chad Wheeler. The 6-foot-7, 306-pounder was projected as a fourth- or fifth-round pick by draft analyst Nolan Nawrocki, but off-field concerns caused Wheeler to go undrafted.
There is much less risk in adding a prospect as an undrafted free agent, so Reese was aggressive in pursuing Wheeler.
