Jerry Reese said he had "a great conversation" with Jason Pierre-Paul on Sunday but added ultimately that "nothing is set" regarding a plan for the injured and unsigned defensive end to return to the team.
Reese revealed the phone conversation in an interview on WFAN Monday morning. He did not provide details of the chat, calling it a "personal conversation." But he did reiterate in the interview the softer, more forgiving attitude which he expressed in a press conference on Sunday.
He said the Giants are not upset at JPP for neither his mishap with the fireworks on July 4 nor his lack of communication with the team that included a snub of Giants officials shortly after the incident.
