EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- New York Giants All-Pro defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence signed a four-year, $90 million extension, including $60 million guaranteed, Friday.
The deal makes Lawrence the third-highest-paid defensive tackle in the NFL behind the Los Angeles Rams' Aaron Donald and Tennessee's Jeffery Simmons.
"I don't think the amount to me was that important. Just being respected and understanding who I am as a player and what I'm worth," Lawrence said moments after signing the deal. "I didn't have a set number in mind or anything like that.
