Geoff Schwartz never before revealed what exactly happened to his left leg last season when he went down and out in Jacksonville. It cost him the final four games and triggered an intense and lengthy rehabilitation.
Schwartz is back, moving in as the starting right guard as the Giants open training camp. He returns after not only breaking his left ankle but also, he said, “blowing out’’ his deltoid ligament on the inside of his left leg.
“I never really said anything because what’s the point of explaining all that?” Schwartz told The Post on Saturday.
Schwartz was surprised how many snaps he took in Friday’s first practice, and it looked as if he took a full load again Saturday.
