The season doesn’t start until September, but Dave Gettleman is already celebrating the biggest win of the year.
That of course, would be the news he heard this week that the aggressive lymphoma the Giants general manager was diagnosed with in June is in remission. He still has three rounds of intense chemotherapy remaining in his treatment after already having gone through four of them (each administered during a five-day hospital stay), but Gettleman said his sprits and his health are both in a great place.
“I feel pretty good,” he said on Friday in his first public appearance since the diagnosis.
