There are plenty of ways to quantify what the Giants have done in the past five weeks.
You can count the number of players who have been shuffled to and from the roster or the millions of dollars spent. You can look at the decisions made, some of which, like the way the larger contracts were structured or the team’s willingness to bring in players who have a history of injuries, seem to go against the way the organization has been handling business in recent years.
