The New York Giants have interest in free agent defensive end Josh Mauro, per published reports from both Jordan Ranaan of ESPN and Art Stapleton of The Record.
Mauro is familiar to defensive coordinator James Bettcher. Originally an undrafted free agent, the 27-year-old spent four seasons with the Arizona Cardinals. He started 26 of the 47 regular-season games in which he played.
Mauro was expected to visit, and perhaps has already done so. You wonder if the re-signing of Kerry Wynn means the Giants would pass on Mauro, or if they would bring in both players as potential depth behind Olivier Vernon and Jason Pierre-Paul.
