Giants fire three following Eli Manning memorabilia case

The Giants shaved off three members of their equipment staff involved in the memorabilia lawsuit, less than two weeks after settling out of court, sources told ESPN.

Ed Wagner Jr., the team’s equipment/locker room manager, was said to be let go, in addition to brothers Edward and Joseph Skiba. Joseph served as the Giants’ equipment director, while Edward acted as the equipment manager. The trio, all longtime employees, were named defendants in the original case.

Quarterback Eli Manning was accused of passing off fraudulent game-worn memorabilia to sports collectors. The 37-year-old had requested Joseph Skiba to get “2 helmets that can pass as game used,” in an email from 2010.
