HOUSTON — If the Giants do not apply more pressure to the pocket this week than they managed in the first two games, something is very wrong.
Sure, for the third time this season the Giants will be without linebacker Olivier Vernon, sidelined with a high ankle sprain, and that is problematic, given his status as the best pass-rusher on the roster. Still, whoever is on the field on defense for the Giants on Sunday inside NRG Stadium should be expected to hit home more than a few times when taking aim at Deshaun Watson, as the Texans are struggling along their offensive line, particularly at offensive tackle.
