Jordan Raanan of ESPN reports that the Giants are expected to sign WR Canaan Severin to a contract on Friday.
According to Raanan, Severin is likely to take the roster spot of WR Keeon Johnson, who suffered a broken foot on Thursday.
Severin, 24, wound up signing a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Steelers as an undrafted free agent out of Virginia back in May of last year. He stands to make base salaries of $465,000 and $555,000 over the first two years of the contract.
