Apparently seeking more running back depth, the New York Giants are reportedly bringing back Alfred Morris.
Tom Pelissero reported Thursday afternoon that Morris will return to the Giants next week.
With Saquon Barkley on PUP and his return date from last season’s torn ACL, the Giants have been seeking depth at running back. They signed Devontae Booker quickly in free agency, added veteran Corey Clement and drafted Gary Brightwell. The Giants also were awarded Ryquell Armstead on waivers, though they ended up cutting him.
Morris, 32, played in nine games for the Giants last season.
