It’s not Eli’s fault.
That was the message from multiple key Giants on Wednesday, as talk had begun to grow that the Big Blue’s offensive struggles should be placed on Eli Manning’s shoulders, that at the age of 35, the two-time Super Bowl winning quarterback is in decline.
“It’s just an immature statement, and no he’s not on the decline at all,” running back Rashad Jennings said following practice. “Eli’s a tremendous quarterback, and we will continue to win with him.”
“Obviously, we’ve had losses,” added the veteran, who has missed the last three games with a left thumb injury, but practiced on a limited basis on Wednesday, and hopes to play Sunday against the Ravens.
