Giants-Eagles final score: New York tops Philadelphia, 28-23

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — The New York Giants broke a four-game losing streak against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday with an excruciatingly close 28-23 victory.

The Giants led, 28-23, when an Eli Manning pass was intercepted by Jordan Hicks and returned to the Giants’ 34-yard line with 1:48 to play. Rather than being on the verge of running out the clock, the Giants’ defense was forced to hang on.

Philly reached the Giants’ 17, but a fourth-and-10 pass from Carson Wentz to Jordan Matthews went just beyond the receiver’s fingertips. That gave the Giants the ball with 1:23 left, and they ran out the clock from there.
