Giants’ dream start blows up in telling Week 2 loss to Bills

The Giants fell to 0-2 for the second consecutive season and the fifth time in the past six seasons when they lost 28-14 to the Bills on Sunday in their home opener.

In none of those five seasons the Giants lost their opening two games did they make the playoffs.

Making matters even more embarrassing, the Bills, who defeated the Jets 17-16 last week, are now 2-0 at MetLife Stadium this season, while the Giants and Jets are a combined 0-2 in their home building.

The Giants failed to take advantage of a dream start, taking a 7-0 lead on the opening possession of the game on a 27-yard scoring run by Saquon Barkley just 2:24 into the game.
