The Giants will get a front row seat to see the offensive lineman they coveted in free agency, All-Pro offensive guard Andrew Norwell, when they host the Jacksonville Jaguars in Sunday's opener at MetLife Stadium.
Norwell, a former Carolina Panther and an All-Pro selection in 2017, was among the Giants' biggest offseason targets heading into free agency. However, Norwell chose to sign with the Jaguars instead, who were looking for an upgrade over guard Patrick Omameh who wound up in a Giants' uniform.
Prior to Friday's practice, Giants defensive line coach Gary Emmanuel had nothing but high praise for the players he very nearly had a chance to coach against in practice every day.
