The Giants did something Sunday they haven’t done very often lately — beat the Eagles.
Eli Manning tossed four touchdown passes and the Big Blue defense continued its recent surge, paving the way to a 28-23 victory over rival Philadelphia in a key NFC East matchup at MetLife Stadium.
Odell Beckham Jr. caught two of those Manning scoring passes as the Giants won their third game in a row, unseated the Eagles for sole possession of second place in the division at 5-3 and remained 2 ¹/u2082 games behind the East-leading Cowboys.
It was just the Giants’ third victory over the Eagles in the past 10 meetings and their first at the Meadowlands since a 42-7 rout in the meaningless 2012 season finale for both teams.
