EAST RUTHERFORD -- Just like earlier in his career, the Giants are pairing Odell Beckham with another former LSU receiver.
No, it's not Jarvis Landry. It's Russell Shepard.
The Giants signed Shepard on Tuesday, eight days after he was cut by the Panthers following a reported refusal to take a pay cut and a request to be released. It's a one-year deal worth $1.3 million with incentives that could bump it to $2 million, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
It's the second time in as many seasons that Giants general manager Dave Gettleman has inked Shepard.
