CINCINNATI — There are plenty of new experiences for any rookie going through the preseason for the first time. For Daniel Jones, a charter flight on the team plane for his first NFL game outside the friendly confines of MetLife Stadium is the latest.
“Yeah, I think it’ll be fun to get on the road,’’ Jones said. “It’s my first experience on the road, so it’ll be exciting.’’
Jones will not start Thursday night against the Bengals at Paul Brown Stadium, but he will receive significant playing time behind Eli Manning. The Giants opened up their summer schedule with what was technically a road game against the Jets and then performed in front of Giants fans when the Bears came to MetLife.
