Even if Jason Pierre-Paul isn't quite the player he used to be, the Giants are hopeful he can provide a boost to their sagging pass rush just in time for the stretch run.
Assuming Pierre-Paul and the Giants can come to a contract agreement in the coming days - and the strong feeling from team sources was that they will - the Giants believe that JPP can be ready for at least limited duty right after their bye week, according to a team source. That would set his return for their game in Washington on Nov. 29 and would be available for the final six weeks of the season.
