Not again.
That was what John Mara was thinking when he heard Tom Coughlin was behind enemy lines, talking to the NFC East-rival Eagles about their head coaching job.
Mara, the Giants’ co-owner, has seen a Giants legend leave and eventually end up working for a despised rival, and he did not want to see Coughlin follow that path. The thought of Coughlin coaching the Eagles brought back some bitter memories.
“I’m not going to lie, it would have bothered me a lot,’’ Mara said Friday, the day he announced Ben McAdoo as the replacement for Coughlin as Giants head coach.
