Giants-Commanders final score: Giants lose on last-second field goal, 21-18

The New York Giants (0-2) fell to the Washington Commanders 21-18 on Sunday in Landover, Maryland, losing a game they badly needed to win after a disastrous performance Week 1 against the Minnesota Vikings.

Washington’s Austin Seibert kicked a game-winning 30-yard field goal, his seventh of the game as time expired.

Washington scored on every possession, excluding getting the ball with :08 left in the first half.

A Malik Nabers drop on a fourth-and-4 with just more than 2:00 left in the game that would have put the Giants in position to win the game ended up setting up the Commanders’ game-winning points.
