New coach appears on "Mike & Mike."
Appearing on "Mike & Mike" on ESPN Radio Tuesday morning New York Giants head coach Ben McAdoo said the team has filled about half of its assistant coaching spots. Interviews are set to be held later Tuesday for the remaining spots.
Reading between the lines of that remark, it would appear that defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo will indeed return. Special teams coordinator Tom Quinn would also seem likely to be back. Other returning coaches could include safeties/secondary coach Dave Merritt, cornerbacks coach Tim Walton, tight ends coach Kevin Gilbride Jr.
