The New York Giants have a new linebackers coach and it's not Mike Singletary. The Giants are hiring Bill McGovern, whose last job was with the Philadelphia Eagles, according to a published report.
McGovern was outside linebackers coach for the Eagles for the past three seasons. Before that, he was at Boston College from 2000-2012. He coached linebackers there his entire time and added defensive coordinator to his responsibility the last four seasons. Yes, that means that McGovern coached Mark Herzlich while at Boston College.
