The NFL has drawn lots of scrutiny in recent weeks over the amount of roughing the passer penalties, and how the rule has been officiated through the first three weeks of the season.
Sunday afternoon, the Giants vs. New Orleans Saints clash will be called by Pete Morelli's crew, which has called roughing the passer a league-high six times this season, a fact that wasn't lost on the Giants' coaching staff.
"We watched a video breaking down what is and isn't a penalty," one Giants defensive player told NJ Advance Media Friday, on the condition of anonymity to be able to speak freely.
