Twice in the past two games, television cameras caught coach Pat Shurmur, while standing on the sideline, watching the Giants’ offense operate, voicing his displeasure at Eli Manning for throws he did not make.
“I guess everybody’s into lip reading now,’’ Shurmur said Tuesday.
In the 34-13 loss to the Eagles, Shurmur clearly shouted, “Throw the ball!’’ after Manning did not look deep for Saquon Barkley, who was split out wide as a receiver and instead took a check-down short throw to Cody Latimer. On Monday night, Shurmur looked as if he exclaimed, “Throw it to Odell!
