EAST RUTHERFORD -- Ben McAdoo, in his own way, just pushed his chips to the center of the table.
No one will remember McAdoo's press conference moment like Jim Fassel's in 2000, and a Super Bowl run surely won't follow it. But in a wide-ranging, nearly 400-word monologue about what his message to the team was on Wednesday, the embattled second-year Giants coach certainly put himself out there.
McAdoo said the Giants have to get back to their identity and simplify what they are doing on the field, while insisting he believes his team has "a run in us," starting on Sunday against the winless 49ers.
