Giants star Odell Beckham expressed optimism he will have a new contract soon.
Maybe he is over-confident.
ESPN's Josina Anderson reports from an unknown source Beckham's agent Zeke Sandhu, who was seen chatting with Giants associate general manager Kevin Abrams last week, left town after the two sides could not agree on the star's market value.
That doesn't necessarily mean negotiations are broken off, but Anderson said the Giants are valuing Beckham at an annual amount per season less than Sammy Watkins, who signed a three-year free-agent deal worth $48 million ($16 million per year) with the Chiefs.
