The New York Giants made an unexpected move at the start of the second half Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles, with Tyrod Taylor taking over the quarterbacking duties.
The Giants unexpectedly got the football on the 14-yard line after the Eagles fumbled the opening kick-off, and it was Taylor, not Tommy DeVito who ran out with the offense. The Giants’ offense didn’t get much done to start the game, averaging about 3.38 yards per play and scoring just 3 points in the first half.
The Giants were clearly concerned with the Eagles’ pass rush and were scheming their passing offense around getting the ball out of DeVito’s hand quickly.
