In the immediate aftermath of the Giants trading cornerback Eli Apple to the New Orleans Saints on Tuesday, the logical question was whether All-Pro Janoris Jenkins would be next to go.
Jenkins, 29, is one of the premier players at a premium position in the NFL, which could make him a hot commodity for a contending team looking to shore up a need ahead of a potential NFL Playoff run.
However, Jenkins is perfectly content as a member of the 1-6 Giants, and has no interest in requesting a trade.
"No," Jenkins said, when asked Thursday if he had any interest in requesting a deal.
