Like many other kinds of flowers, Ereck Flowers seems to blossom in the spring and wilt in the fall and winter.

Even with a new coaching staff in place, the Giants spent most of a second straight offseason publicly building up Flowers' confidence with praise for his work ethic and attitude. After he skipped the first voluntary three-day minicamp, Flowers attended and took every first-team snap at right tackle during the next 13 spring practices.

It was more of the same in training camp, so it looked like maybe ... just maybe .
