Giants can jumpstart their offense thanks to these Eagles injuries

PHILADELPHIA -- The Giants are looking for a way to get their offense going, and a banged-up Eagles secondary might just be the answer they are looking for.

Speaking Wednesday at the NovaCare Complex, Eagles head coach Doug Pederson did not sound optimistic about the chances that last week's starting cornerback, Jaylen Watkins, and the team's starting safety, Rodney McLeod, would play this Sunday in his team's home opener.

"Right now, day-to-day," Pederson said. "We'll keep evaluating, keep monitoring both those guys."

A "day-to-day" designation on player from Pederson has normally resulted in that player not suiting up for the following game, and with both McLeod and Watkins not expected to practice on Wednesday, all indications point to both being out due to hamstring injuries against the Giants.
