Evan Engram is going to be out of action, most likely for at least a month, and thus the Giants need another tight end. That is why on Tuesday they signed Garrett Dickerson off their practice squad.
To make room on the roster, punt returner Kaelin Clay’s brief and shaky time with the Giants came to an end, as he was waived/injured with an ankle issue.
Dickerson is a local product from Bergen Catholic High School, where he set school reception records for tight ends. He played in 49 games at Northwestern and was signed by the Giants in June.
