That's what caused the first-year coach to choose between youngsters Davis Webb and Kyle Lauletta — Webb was the odd man out after taking zero regular-snaps as a rookie — in order to make a spot for 30-year-old journeyman Alex Tanney.
But the spot might not be Tanney's just yet.
The Giants are bringing in Matt McGloin for a workout, according to NFL Network. McGloin, who played in 13 games with seven starts from 2013-16 with the Raiders, was just released by the Chiefs.
