There is always a cause-and-effect when players are re-signed at certain positions, and the Giants on Monday bringing back wide receiver Bennie Fowler is a strong indication they will be without the services of Sterling Shepard for a while.
Shepard did not play in last Thursday’s 35-14 loss to the Patriots after sustaining his second concussion of the season. Given the proximity of the incidents – his first came in the Week 1 loss to the Cowboys – Shepard will be monitored closely while he is in the concussion protocol. There is virtually no chance he plays in Sunday’s game against the Cardinals at MetLife Stadium.
