EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — The New York Giants hung on for a nail-biting 21-20 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals Monday night. The victory was the fourth straight for the 6-3 Giants.
Eli Manning threw three touchdown passes. Odell Beckham Jr. caught 10 passes for 97 yards. In the process he became the fastest player in NFL history to reach 3,500 receiving yards, doing so in his 36th career game. Lance Alworth held the previous record of 37 games.
A touchdown pass to Sterling Shepard on fourth-and-goal from the Cincinnati 3-yard line capped a seven-play, 47-yard drive and gave the Giants a 21-20 lead with 14:05 to play.
