Giants' Ben McAdoo says Andrew Adams wasn't benched after TD | Snap count analysis

EAST RUTHERFORD -- It certainly appeared that Giants rookie safety Andrew Adams was benched after a blown coverage allowed the lone touchdown in a 10-7 win over the Cowboys on Sunday. But Giants coach Ben McAdoo said Adams was replaced by Leon Hall for the next two series as part of a planned rotation.

"We were rolling different players in there like we always have at that position," McAdoo said. "He was not responsible for the blown coverage. The touchdown was not his responsibility."

Adams had started and played every snap until Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott fooled the entire Giants defense with a play-fake late in the first quarter.
