The New York Giants and Detroit Lions enter Sunday’s game at Ford Field in Detroit, Mich. in similar circumstances.
Both teams, the 2-5 Giants and the 2-3-1 and Lions have three-game losing streaks. Both have struggling defenses, with the Lions 31st and the Giants 28th in yards allowed. Both have second-year head coaches facing increasing scrutiny.
The Lions will enter the game as 7-point favorites.
The two teams also have players familiar to each team’s fan base. Former Giants Damon Harrison, Devon Kennard and Romeo Okwara are key defenders for Detroit.
