The Giants’ defense got off to a great start, after the Giants won the coin toss and elected to defer, racking up three sacks in the first half and managing to contain the Falcons’ explosive offense. Olivier Vernon, Kerry Wynn, Lorenzo Carter, and B.W. Webb all got to Matt Ryan in the first half.
Unfortunately, the Giants’ offense proved incapable of capitalizing on the opportunities and momentum created by their defense.
The offense started off on the right foot, looking downfield to Odell Beckham Jr., who averaged 19 yards per catch in the first half.
