Giants assure fans there’s a good reason Beckham is underused

Odell Beckham was targeted a season-low seven times in Sunday’s win over the Bears, and on Friday, Giants offensive coordinator Mike Sullivan defended the team’s use of the explosive wide receiver.

“When it comes to Odell, we all know he is a dynamic playmaker,” Sullivan said. “It doesn’t take a genius [to know] the more we get him the ball, the higher the chances of winning.”

He pointed out Beckham had been thrown to 98 times this season, eighth in the league, but Sullivan also said even when Beckham isn’t putting up his typically gaudy numbers, he’s making an impact.
