The Giants’ league-worst pass defense just got even worse Friday.
Already ranking dead last in the NFL in passing yardage allowed, the Giants saw their better pass-rushers — linebacker Devon Kennard (hamstring) and defensive ends George Selvie (calf) and Robert Ayers (hamstring) — all ruled out for Sunday night’s game against the visiting 49ers.
“[Kennard] has had a very good start to the season, so obviously we lose his energy, his enthusiasm, his love of the game, his physical play. It’s unfortunate that he’s out this week, but hopefully he’ll be back soon,’’ coach Tom Coughlin said, adding that Kennard is so versatile it will take multiple players to fill his shoes.
