The Giants will hire Joe Judge to be their new head coach, a person with knowledge of the team’s decision making said.
Judge, 38, has been an assistant coach for the New England Patriots for eight years, most recently serving as wide receivers coach and special teams coordinator.
Before that, he was a football analyst for three seasons at Alabama, and does not have head coaching experience at either level.
Judge has a reputation for having a fiery personality. “It’s definitely a different vibe,” Patriots receiver Julian Edelman told The Providence Journal this season after Judge took over the wide receivers coaching job.
