On Wednesday, the New York Giants reportedly signed former Washington and Denver safety Duke Ihenacho. He missed almost all of the 2014 and 2015 seasons due to injury – playing just 13 total snaps combined in those seasons.
Ihenacho played his second-most career snaps (638) in 2016. He ranked eighth of 87 safeties in run stop percentage (8.6).
In coverage, Ihenacho allowed 0.36 yards per cover snap, good for 22nd of 92 qualifying safeties.
His main issue was tackling, where he missed 15 total tackles giving him a tackling efficiency of just 4.
