Giants add rookie wideout Jerome Lane, son of ex-hoops star

Send it in!

The Giants have signed rookie wide receiver Jerome Lane - the son of the former Pitt and NBA basketball player of the same name that New Jersey's Bill Raftery immortalized with his 'Send it in Jerome!' broadcast call - to their 90-man roster.

Lane takes the roster spot vacated by undrafted free agent Jalen Williams, who was waived/injured on Wednesday. Jerome Lane, who played at Akron, attended the NFL Scouting Combine earlier this year. He went undrafted, but signed with the Colts after April's NFL Draft. Indianapolis waived him two weeks ago.
