Giants add N.J. native, former Rutgers wide receiver to roster

EAST RUTHERFORD -- Andrew Turzilli is taking Route 23 to 46 to 3.

The Butler High product and former Rutgers standout has signed with the Giants, adding wide receiver depth to their roster. The Giants also signed linebacker Chris Casher on Monday, and waived/injured tight end Colin Thompson (appendectomy) and wide receiver Kevin Norwood (hip) to make room for the new signings on their 90-man active roster.

Turzilli had two receptions for 25 yards with the Titans in 2015. He has also spent practice squad time with the Lions and 49ers. He had not been in a camp yet this summer after serving a suspension in 2016 for violating the NFL's performance enhancing drug policy.
