The Giants agreed to terms with outside linebacker Connor Barwin, the veteran tweeted Monday.
Big Blue will add Barwin as they prepare to open training camp this week. Barwin, a longtime Eagle, spent last season with the Rams.
Barwin, 31, will provide the Giants with some depth at outside linebacker and knows linebackers coach Bill McGovern from their time together in Philadelphia. Barwin has 55.5 sacks in his nine-year career with the Texans, Eagles and Rams. He had five sacks last season for Los Angeles.
The Giants are switching to a 3-4 defense this season under new head coach Pat Shurmur and defensive coordinator James Bettcher.
