The New York Giants are signing Janoris Jenkins (deals don't become official until 4 ET Wednesday) to try and patch up their ailing secondary, but they are committing big money to a player who still gets beaten for big plays with staggering regularity and is at best a boom-or-bust type of player.
Jenkins has surrendered 22 career touchdowns over his four seasons, more than all but two other corners over the same time span. To put that into some context, Richard Sherman has allowed just 10, across five seasons including the playoffs, and the playoffs in his case add another 10 games to the sample size.
