On Saturday the New York Giants activated starting outside linebacker Kyler Fackrell from injured reserve and placed fullback Eli Penny on on IR, according to Zack Rosenblatt of NJ Advance Media.
The Giants also removed wide receiver/quarterback Joe Webb from their active roster. So he is back on their practice squad. He has been helping New York on special teams lately.
Losing Penny is truly unfortunate for the Giants’ run game. I would imagine that they will use tight ends Kaden Smith and/or Levine Toilolo at fullback in Penny’s absence. Hopefully they can help Wayne Gallman and Alfred Morris get things moving on the ground this week.
