The Giants' roster has undergone some changes this offseason. There were additions and departures in free agency, and then more players were added in last week's draft and as undrafted free agents. While there will be some minor changes between now and the start of the season, the dust has mostly settled on the roster.
The Giants currently have 89 players under contract. They'll need to get down to 53 players by the end up the preseason. Here's an early projection for the 53-man roster:
Shaun Draughn, Daryl Virgies, Jacob Huesman, FB Shane Smith (UDFA)
The Giants kept five running backs last season but, barring the addition of a veteran power back like LeGarrette Blount, I think they'll stick with four this season to allow for more flexibility at other positions.
