The NFL Draft is one of the biggest events on the football calendar, but the end of the draft isn’t the end of the action for NFL front offices. Scouts, coaches, and executives start working the phones before the draft is even over, and the New York Giants are no different.
Unlike the draft proper, undrafted free agency is very much about recruiting. Front office personnel are calling players around the nation who might not be drafted, trying to lean on the relationships they’ve built over the draft process. They’re trying to lure undrafted prospects to their franchise, but the players themselves are free to go anywhere they want.
